Step 1: You should fully backup your Android device before proceeding with installing a custom ROM.
Step 2: If you are installing a Custom ROM then it’s better to create a full Nandroid Backup of your device. You can also use any Custom recovery to create Nandroid backup.
Step 3: Enable USB debugging on your device, Go to “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The option of USB Debugging should be ticked.

Step 6: Download Odin from here to your computer. It is an essential flashing tool that you will require while flashing rooting package. Download Rooting Package  from here to your computer. Extract the “Rooting Package” into a folder onto your desktop.

Step 1: First thing you have to do is connect your phone to your computer using the original USB cable and extract the rooting package in your device and then open Odin in your computer and turn off your phone to enter in the download mode by pressing the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, turn ON your device. Keep holding the power button for 3 -4 seconds till you see the Download Mode Logo in your device.
Step 2: After that connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID: COM section will turn yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully and you are ready to proceed, now you have to press “PDA” and select the tar file from the extracted rooting package, once selected, click on “Start” for starting the process of rooting. Once the device is rooted successfully, the device will be rebooted automatically.
Step 3: After that when you see the home screen / language preference page, you can disconnect the phone. To check on whether your phone has rooted successfully or not, download “Root Checker”  app from the Google PLAY Store and check on whether your device has been rooted or not.
